Hatem Ben Arfa transfer: Newcastle star's PSG dream

HATEM BEN ARFA has shocked Newcastle by telling Paris St Germain: Make my dream come true.

Ben Arfa says a summer move to the French capital would be a “gift” to him.

The Paris-born star insists he wants to stay on Tyneside in January and save the Toon from relegation.

But Ben Arfa admits he is dreaming of a switch back home in July.

He said: “After I have saved my club, you never know. Signing for PSG would be a childhood dream.

“If there is a proposal, I will study it with interest. If there is a proposal. The ‘if’ is important.

“PSG is a club that lives in my heart. To play would be a nice gift.”

Ben Arfa, who has 2½ years left on his current deal, is sidelined with a hamstring injury.

But the midfield player is recovering in France and is eyeing a return to first-team duty next month.

He said: “I heal from Monday to Friday at the medical centre at Clairefontaine.

“Morale is good because I’m in Paris with family.

“But when I see the Newcastle games on television, it is not easy. The team needs all players and it is almost relegation.”
